Standardized Procedure: The process consists of three core steps: cleaning the pipe, positioning and fitting the repair clamp, and tightening the bolts in stages. A skilled worker can complete the installation of a single unit in 10 to 30 minutes.
No Specialized Certification Required: No special qualifications (such as welder certification) are needed; general pipe maintenance personnel can perform the installation independently after brief instruction, eliminating the need for a specialized technical team.
Standard Installation Steps
Pipe Pre-treatment: Grind and clean the pipe surface around the leak site to remove rust, burrs, and oil/grease, ensuring a smooth surface.
Positioning and Fitting: Fully open the double-clamp repair clamp and wrap it around the leaking section of the pipe; align the sealing gasket so that the leak point is completely covered by the clamp.
Stepwise Tightening: Tighten the connecting bolts on both sides using an alternating diagonal pattern; this ensures the stainless steel shell grips the pipe evenly and the internal rubber gasket compresses uniformly to fill all gaps.
Pressure Testing: Conduct a pressure test after installation; the process is complete once it is confirmed that there are no leaks.
