Details on compatible pipe diameters by specification
Standard models: Standard extra-long double-clamp repair clamps from mainstream manufacturers cover nominal diameters ranging from DN20 to DN2000 and are compatible with the vast majority of common pipe materials, including steel, cast iron, PE, and PVC.
Large-diameter custom models: Designed for large-scale infrastructure such as municipal and chemical pipelines, these support custom specifications up to DN4000 to meet emergency repair needs for large-diameter water and oil transmission lines.
Small-diameter specialized models: Compact extra-long double-clamp models are available for small-diameter precision pipelines (DN15–DN50), catering to emergency sealing repairs on smaller pipes.
Key points for pipe diameter selection
Selection must be based on the actual outer diameter of the pipe rather than just the nominal diameter; the size range of the selected repair clamp must fully encompass the outer diameter of the pipe being repaired.
For pipes with a diameter of ≤300mm, the clamp width must extend at least 80mm beyond the damaged area on both sides; for pipes with a diameter >300mm, the coverage width on each side must be ≥100mm to ensure sealing reliability.
