Handles Pipe Movement and Deflection
The Flexible Pipe Connector allows angular deflection and axial movement. Pipelines cross settlement zones or earthquake areas. Bridge sections move with temperature. These pipes need joints that bend without leaking. Our connector uses a floating seal design. It allows up to 5 degrees of angular deflection and up to 30mm of axial movement.
The gasket sits in a floating groove inside the housing. When the pipe deflects, the floating seal moves with it. The seal stays against the pipe wall. Even at an angle, the seal does not break. The deflection capacity is typically 3 to 5 degrees. The axial movement capacity is 10 to 30mm, depending on pipe size. This meets most engineering needs for flexible connections.

Survived an Earthquake
