Absorbs Thermal Expansion and Contraction
The Telescopic Pipe Connector handles thermal movement in pipelines. Pipes expand in summer and contract in winter. If joints cannot move, thermal stress builds up. This can crack joints or break bolts. Our connector has a built-in telescopic section. It absorbs axial movement automatically. This releases thermal stress and protects the pipeline.
The connector has an expansion cavity in the middle of the housing. The spigot end slides in and out of this cavity. When the pipe expands, the spigot moves inward. When the pipe contracts, the spigot moves outward. The gasket stays against the pipe wall during all movement. It does not leak during expansion or contraction. We preset the expansion capacity at the factory based on your design requirements. No field adjustment is needed. This connector is ideal for exposed pipes, hot water lines, and buried pipes in areas with large temperature differences.
