Fixes PE Pipe Fusion Joint Leaks
The Hot Melt Joint Repair Clamp is made for leaks at PE pipe hot melt fusion joints. PE pipes are joined by heat fusion. The joint area has a raised bead or ring of melted material. If the welding temperature or pressure is wrong, the joint may crack later. This clamp repairs the leak without cutting the pipe and without re-welding.
The housing is longer than standard clamps. It covers the entire fusion bead area. The bead is enclosed inside the housing cavity. The gasket has two main seal rings. One is on each side of the bead. The bead itself does not carry pressure. The water pressure is stopped by the gaskets outside the bead area. The housing has tapered guides at both ends. These help slide the clamp over the bead during installation. All edges that touch the PE pipe are rounded. This prevents scratches on the pipe surface.

Safe for Gas and Water PE Lines
