Installation Guidelines for Double-Socket Connectors

Pre-installation Preparations
‌Visual and Accessory Inspection‌: Check the connector body for cracks or deformation and the accompanying rubber sealing ring for signs of aging or damage; verify that the sealing ring model fully complies with the requirements for medium temperature and pressure.
‌Interface Cleaning‌: Thoroughly remove burrs, oil, and debris from the inner wall of the socket and the outer wall of the spigot; ensure the sealing surfaces are smooth and free of protrusions to prevent scratching the sealing ring.
‌On-site Verification‌: Using adjacent installed pipe sections as a reference, verify the spatial coordinates of the pipeline; anticipate the load transmission path post-installation to avoid creating points of stress concentration.

Key Considerations for the Mating Process
‌Precise Control of Insertion Depth‌: Mark the specified insertion depth on the spigot's outer wall beforehand; after insertion, ensure a thermal expansion gap of 1.6–3.2 mm remains between the pipe end and the socket bottom to prevent thermal expansion from damaging the sealing structure during operation.
‌Strict Control of Coaxiality‌: Use a mechanical tensioner to apply uniform force along the axial direction during insertion; strictly prohibit localized prying with crowbars or forceful hammering with sledgehammers; ensure the coaxiality deviation between the pipe and the connector is ≤1% of the pipe diameter.
‌Sealing Ring Status Check‌: After insertion, use a specialized gauge to inspect the sealing ring's position along its circumference; confirm there is no twisting, flipping, or extrusion, and ensure uniform circumferential compression.
