Preliminary Checks: Ensure the pipelines at both ends of the connector are depressurized; clean away mud, sand, and oil from around the interface to prevent debris from falling into the connection gap.
Detailed Replacement Steps
Remove the Old Sealing Ring: Use a screwdriver to gently pry the old sealing ring out of the socket groove, removing it intact; take care not to scratch the installation groove on the inner wall of the socket.
Thoroughly Clean Contact Surfaces: Use a dry cloth to repeatedly wipe the socket groove and the outer surface of the spigot (insert end), ensuring there is no residual adhesive debris or dust, and that the groove is free of raised burrs.
Install the New Sealing Ring: Fit the new sealing ring flatly into the socket groove, avoiding any twisting or rolling over during the process; ensure the ring sits flush against the bottom of the groove and remains parallel to the interface end face.
Apply Lubricant Evenly: Apply an even layer of water-based lubricant to the surface of the new sealing ring and the insertion section of the spigot to reduce friction during the subsequent insertion.
Align and Insert: Precisely align the central axes of the socket and spigot, then insert steadily along the axis to the previously marked depth; avoid tilting or wobbling, which could cause the sealing ring to shift.
Post-Installation Verification: Use a feeler gauge to check around the circumference of the interface gap, confirming that the sealing ring has no localized bulges or protrusions and is correctly positioned.
