Socket Pipe Connector

The Socket Pipe Connector is our modern version of the traditional socket connection. One end is a socket (bell). The other end is a spigot (plain pipe end). You connect multiple connectors in series to build a pipeline. This connection method gives you good installation speed and seal reliability. It is a popular choice for new projects and network expansions.

The socket end has a seal ring groove and a tapered lead-in. The spigot end has a smooth outer surface. To connect, push the spigot of one connector into the socket of the next. Push until it hits the limit stop. The EPDM sealing ring compresses between the socket taper and the spigot surface. This creates a radial seal. Each joint allows about 3 degrees of angular deflection. This helps with pipe alignment and small ground movements.
